Series 6 – Water-bearing Formations of Rock – The Aquifers
This is the sixth in a series of light, short and visual talks on taking control of environmental-risk concerns that haunt otherwise lucrative transactions in commercial and industrial properties, and even residences.
Aquifers have much to do with transactions in real estate. “Aqua” in Latin is water, and “ferre” means to bear or carry. Aquifers are formations of permeable rock that are saturated with water, they “carry” water.

Remediation is not an absolute term. In the environmental-risk lingo it means the reduction of the intensity of the contamination to such levels that will be accepted by the regulatory authorities.
